Story Time From Space: In-Orbit Readings and Science to Encourage STEM in the Classroom

Flight Engineer Joe Acaba holds a children's book that he is reading from as part of the Story Time From Space program. Astronauts read aloud from a STEM-related children's book while being videotaped and demonstrate simple science concepts and experiments aboard the International Space Station.

Story Time From Space is an investigation that aims to inspire students, educators and families to actively engage in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programs through the excitement of space exploration and literacy.
Together with NASANational Aeronautics and Space Administration and the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space (the ISSInternational Space Station National Lab), Story Time From Space arms formal and informal educators with the necessary materials and knowledge to teach fun, accurate STEM lessons.
