ADvanced Space Experiment Processor
Facility Description
ADSEP is a fully automated, modular, multi-use single middeck locker processing facility that has been used to conduct a variety of life and physical science experiments and small batch manufacturing simultaneously in up to four cassettes. Temperature control is available (4-40C).The cassettes are specifically designed for pharmaceutical research and manufacturing, cell culturing, tissue engineering, bioseparations, fluids processing and colloids. Each cassette is designed to provide up to 2-levels of containment for each experiment. The ADSEP Processing Facility can be remotely controlled and/or pre-programmed to process each experiment cassette without requiring any scheduled crew time. Cassettes may be a mix of any of the many, many available varieties. Investigators may choose to contract for any combination.
