ACTIVITY 1
SPACE STATION EXPLORERS PARTNER PROGRAM:
QUEST FOR SPACE
- Leveled programs bring space science to life through kits to build heat shields or program robots.
- Whether building a heat shield or sending an experiment to space, Quest for Space ignites the spark of curiosity for all learners.
LESSON
Robotic Arm from JPL
In space and on Earth, humans rely on robots to help perform tasks. On the ISSInternational Space Station, the Canada Arm provides a way to capture spacecraft containing supplies that are essential to survival in space. In this activity, students will design and build a robotic arm to accomplish a task.
