  • Examine this breathtaking collection of images taken by astronauts onboard the ISS.
  • Students will hone their observation skills and make inferences based on those observations.
Think Green - Utilizing Renewable Solar Energy GreenField Solar’s StarGen uses a tracking system to follow the path of the sun, which the parabolic mirrors concentrate into a small area. The system is approximately 20 percent more efficient than conventional solar panels.

Renewable Solar Energy – Using Imagery and Data from Jet Propulsion Laboratory
Space imagery provides valuable information for life here on Earth, such as where the best places would be to utilize solar panels. In this activity from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, students will examine images and data to justify the positioning of solar farms to harness the most energy.
