Nanoracks Nanode
Facility Description
NanoRacks Platforms is a multipurpose research facility on board the International Space Station (ISSInternational Space Station). NanoRacks Platforms supports NanoRacks Modules in the CubeSatSmall satellites that use a standard size and form factor, traditionally measuring 10 cm x 10 cm x 10 cm in size that may be deployed from the space station to conduct research and technology development. form factor by providing power and data transfer capabilities to operate investigations in microgravityThe condition of perceived weightlessness created when an object is in free fall, for example when an object is in orbital motion. Microgravity alters many observable phenomena within the physical and life sciences, allowing scientists to study things in ways not possible on Earth. The International Space Station provides access to a persistent microgravity environment..
