During shipment from Europe, the pressurized cargo module (PCM) on the Cygnus spacecraft for Northrop Grumman’s 22nd Commercial Resupply Services (NG-22) mission was damaged. NASANational Aeronautics and Space Administration is working with Northrop Grumman to accelerate the NG-23 mission.
Earlier this month, NASA and the ISSInternational Space Station National Lab held a virtual meeting on the NG-22 mission and projected manifest changes for future missions. Implementation Partners and researchers with projects projected to fly in the coming months were invited to attend and were asked to provide impact statements. The statements will be shared with NASA to provide an understanding of how the NG-22 mission delays are affecting ISS National Lab Implementation Partners and researchers.
NASA and the ISS National Lab will provide further information on the status of NG-23 and impacts on its flight manifest, along with that of other CRS missions, at ISSRDC in Seattle July 28-31.
