A Space Economy

With technologies that make space more affordable and accessible, Sierra Space is creating an ecosystem for a prosperous and secure space economy that benefits all humanity. Sierra Space has provided more than 4,000 space systems, subsystems, and components to customers worldwide, and participated in more than 500 missions to space, including to Mars, as well as designing and building several facilities on ISS including VEGGIE, Advance Plant Habitat, mass measurement device, and XROOTS®. The company has technology in production and in development to enable a fleet of Dream Chaser® spaceplanes and the LIFE™ (Large Inflatable Flexible Environment) habitat for short- and long-duration space travel. In the near term, Sierra Space will continue to support ISS development as a key contributor to the CRS-2 mission with Dream Chaser selected as a resupply vehicle. For long term, Dream Chaser, along with LIFE, will be two primary components to establish Orbital Reef, the first commercial space station.

With decades of experience across a variety of application sectors, Sierra Space is comprised of a talented workforce of industry experts who are developing innovative approaches to microgravity R&D, In-space Manufacturing, crew and cargo spaceflight transportation, satellites, propulsion systems, and spacecraft subsystems and components for U.S. Government, commercial, and international customers.
