Spacebilt Incorporated is a diversified space systems development entity with active hardware (SMART-1 platform) on the International Space Station.  Our expertise and specialties are associated with the flight qualification of complex robotics, avionics, and other hardware software systems on ISS exterior platforms.  Additionally, Spacebilt provides a path beyond the ISS for in flight services on our Orbital Logistics Vehicle, to any orbit (Cislunar, Venus to Mars distance) in the inner solar system.

Primary Services:

As an integration partner with the ISS National Lab Spacebilt’s SMART-1 Platform is capable of being sited on ISS external locations such as the Express Logistics Carrier, the Bartolomeo Platform (Airbus), and the Kibo External Facility (In partnership with the Japanese company SpaceBD.  The platform is currently active on the ISS providing services for Technology Readiness Level (TRL) qualification of a German robotic connector. The services that our platform provides are:

  • Low Earth Orbit (LEO) space environment
  • Radiation environment monitoring through the ARMAS-ISS sensor
  • Webserver based experiment control to provide a standard web based development environment.
  • Ku/Ip communications, through the ISS to TDRSS to ground to VPN based proxy server
  • Extreme temperatures
  • Direct sun, or sun shielded with Multilayer insulation

Standard services that Spacebilt provides include:

  • Payload integration/de-integration
  • Safety and requirements documentation development and support
