A Beautiful Planet – An Out Of This World Experience In Imax®
The IMAX documentary, A Beautiful Planet will make its domestic debut on April 29, 2016. The film, directed by Toni Myers, features exclusive footage of Earth, captured by astronauts on the International Space Station—showing a new perspective of our home planet.
For the 2016 USA Science and Engineering Festival, IMAX and CASIS(Abbreviation: CASIS™) The nonprofit organization that manages the ISS National Lab, which receives at least 50 percent of the U.S. research allocation on the International Space Station to facilitate research that benefits humanity (NASA manages the other 50% and focuses on research for space exploration purposes). partnered to host two advanced screenings of A Beautiful Planet at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C on April 16 at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. The special screenings will give SciFest attendees an opportunity to enjoy a VIP experience and preview the upcoming film. The screenings are free, but tickets must be picked up in advance. Tickets for the screening will be available at SciFest, starting Friday, April 15th, at the CASIS Booth #6507 (Located in the Hall E)
