European Space Agency to Host Second Space for Inspiration Conference in October
The European Space Agency (ESA) will hold its second “Space for Inspiration” conference this year October 29-31 in Bilbao, Spain. Space for Inspiration brings together an international community from a broad range of disciplines to discuss the importance of our continued efforts in space exploration and how space can be leveraged to find new solutions to address worldwide challenges. This year’s conference will focus on space as a powerful tool to incite positive change and new business opportunities on Earth.
On the International Space Station (ISSInternational Space Station) National Lab, a growing community of innovative commercial service providers are supporting the growing demand for space-based research by providing platforms and expanded capabilities onboard the orbiting laboratory that enable research and development that directly benefits life on Earth. These implementation partners serve as critical pathfinders for economic development in low Earth orbit(Abbreviation: LEO) The orbit around the Earth that extends up to an altitude of 2,000 km (1,200 miles) from Earth’s surface. The International Space Station’s orbit is in LEO, at an altitude of approximately 250 miles..
ESA’s Space for Inspiration conference provides a valuable opportunity for the ISS National Lab implementation partner(Abbreviation: IP) Commercial companies that work with the ISS National Lab to provide services related to payload development, including the translation of ground-based science to a space-based platform. community to engage with the international space community and expand their space-based services, further cultivating the emerging low Earth orbit economy.
