Lessons can be learned from what some might consider failure. A small Earth-observation satellite known as STMSat-1, built entirely by St. Thomas More elementary school students, launched into space in December 2015. Although it ultimately did not transmit any images back to Earth, the lessons learned by the students will benefit them long into the future.
