Crew members onboard the International Space Station communicate with students all over the world using the station’s ham radio. Since its inaugural contact in 2000, the Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) project has been used to connect more than a quarter of a million students with the astronauts living and working onboard the space station.
