Future Commercial Crew on the Space Station
Check out this video from NASANational Aeronautics and Space Administration on future commercial crew members onboard the International Space Station (ISSInternational Space Station). Boeing and SpaceX are making preparations to launch commercial astronauts to the ISS from U.S. soil and plan to run test flights of their commercial crew vehicles, Boeing’s CST-100 Starliner and SpaceX’s Crew Dragon, in the coming months. Additional crew members on the space station would increase the amount of groundbreaking research that can be done on the orbital laboratory both to improve life on Earth and to help prepare for long-duration spaceflight missions.
