Genes in Space 2018!
Genes in Space™ started in 2015 with the goal of inspiring young minds to solve real-world problems in the biological and physical sciences. Since then, this the ISSInternational Space Station National Lab-sponsored contest has seen three winning experiments flown to the ISS National Lab with two more scheduled for launches this year. The Genes in SpaceAn annual national research competition for students in grades 7 through 12 to design pioneering biotechnology experiments that are conducted by astronauts on the space station. The program is funded by Boeing and miniPCR bio and supported by the ISS National Laboratory® and New England BioLabs. 2018 contest opens on January 16 – proposals are due by April 20, 2018.
