ISS National Lab Featured in Remote Sensing Magazine Apogeo Spatial

The International Space Station (ISSInternational Space Station) National Lab is featured on the cover of the most recent issue of Apogeo Spatial, a remote sensing magazine that focuses on sustainability. Two articles included in the issue were authored by ISS National Lab representatives—one highlighting the ISS as a valuable platform for Earth imaging and observation and the other discussing lidar (similar to radar but using pulsed laser light) remote sensing from the ISS.

From its position in low Earth orbit—at an altitude of approximately 250 miles—the ISS provides unique vantage point to look back on our planet. The orbital path of the ISS also provides a unique point of view, passing over regions of Earth containing more than 90% of our population.
