ISS National Lab Scientists to Co-chair Space Summit

Space Summit Conference Agenda Illuminates International Space Station Research

April 4, 2025

This May, SelectBio’s Space Summit conference will bring together researchers interested in conducting research on the International Space Station (ISS) and those who have already benefited from the unique conditions on and outside of the orbiting platform to advance their work. Michael Roberts, chief scientific officer for the ISS National Laboratory®, and Kristin Kopperud, biological sciences program director for the ISS National Lab, are co-chairing the event. Roberts and Kopperud will offer welcome remarks and an introduction to the day’s activities each morning of the conference. They will also co-host and chair several events, including a roundtable discussion, “How to Get Your Research Payload Onboard the ISS National Laboratory®?” as well as a panel discussion, “Bringing EVs and Space Summit Together.”

The Space Summit, to be held May 15-16 in Miami, provides attendees with networking opportunities, an update on the impact of emerging private space stations in low Earth orbit (LEO), as well as information on pricing and access for researchers. Guest speakers will discuss the many areas that can benefit from research in the space environment, including tissue chips, organoids, 3D printing, and flow chemistry. Access additional information on the conference, speakers, and agenda on the Space Summit website.
