ISS National Lab User Advisory Committee to Host Introductory Meeting
The User Advisory Committee (UAC) for the International Space Station (ISSInternational Space Station) U.S. National Laboratory, managed by the Center for the Advancement of Science, Inc., will hold a virtual introductory meeting to introduce the UAC(Abbreviation: UAC) A committee that provides CASIS with user input and perspective about the management of ISS National Lab resources. and its members. The virtual meeting will be held November 2, 2021, 2:00-4:00 p.m. EST. During the meeting, UAC subcommittee chairs will provide an overview of each subcommittee and identify subcommittee members. Time will be allotted at the end of the meeting for public comments and questions to the UAC. Registration has closed but a recording is available for viewing.
The meeting is being held in conjunction with the 2021 American Society for Gravitational ahttps://youtu.be/gRjz4nyMcDEnd Space Research (ASGSR) annual conference in Baltimore to introduce the UAC to the ASGSR community. Members of the UAC and representatives of the ISS National Lab will be at the conference and available to engage with ASGSR members. The UAC is invested in providing the public with the opportunity to share their level of interest in the committee and identify which subcommittees are of particular interest. The UAC encourages continued dialogue and collaboration regarding the use of the ISS National Lab to advance scientific research and development, support education, and promote the growth of the low Earth orbit(Abbreviation: LEO) The orbit around the Earth that extends up to an altitude of 2,000 km (1,200 miles) from Earth’s surface. The International Space Station’s orbit is in LEO, at an altitude of approximately 250 miles. economy.
