In-orbit commercial services provider and Kentucky-based startup Space Tango, Inc. was recently featured in the Kentucky Engineering Journal of the University of Kentucky College of Engineering. Space Tango cofounder and CEO Twyman Clements and biomedical engineer Gentry Barnett are both alumni of the University of Kentucky.

Space Tango is one of several innovative commercial services providers supporting the growing demand for space-based research and serving as pathfinders for economic development in low Earth orbit.

“When people hear about using the space station, it’s all about going to Mars, which is certainly great, and I could talk about that forever. But our focus is using the ISS as a medium to create new products, better products—whether they be drugs or semiconductors or other materials. This is not about us going to Mars; this is about us making life better on Earth.”
