Today, students at The Dag Hammarskjold School, or Public School 254, are scheduled to speak live with astronauts Ricky Arnold and Drew Feustel as they orbit Earth on the International Space Station. Opportunities like talking to astronauts are designed to enhance student learning and performance as well as encourage interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). You can tune in to the 20-minute, Earth-to-space call that will air live on NASA Television and the agency’s website at 9:25 a.m. EDT.

Space Station Explorers, managed by the ISS National Lab (the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space), uses special access to the International Space Station to create fun and unique STEM educational experiences, including opportunities to speak with astronauts and industry experts or designing an investigation that could launch to the ISS National Lab.
