NASA, Challenger Center Collaborate to Perform Christa McAuliffe’s Legacy Experiments

NASA and the Challenger Center will collaborate to conduct several legacy lessons designed by Christa McAuliffe, a high school teacher who made history in 1985 when she became the first American civilian selected to go into space.

Astronauts Joe Acaba, who is currently aboard the space station, and Ricky Arnold who will launch in March, will film the lessons in orbit as part of NASA’s Year of Education on Station, which takes advantage of the continuing presence of astronaut educators in orbit in 2018.
