The Wisconsin Space Crystal Mission was recently featured in the International Union of Crystallography’s latest newsletter. For the mission, the winning students of the 2017 Wisconsin Crystal Growing Competition grew crystals on the ISS National Lab to test their optimized conditions for Earth-based crystallization against microgravity-based crystallization. The students had adapted their Earth-based crystallization methods for the flight project.
